What comes to mind when you think Online and Prosperity?
Tell me, what came to your mind when you read the title of this post. Was it one of these thoughts:
- “Here we go again” or ” Don’t know what true prosperity online is all about”.
- “I am not sure what this really means”
- “The last time I tried one of these online things, it didn’t turn out so well” (If you have your own comments please post below)
No such thing as a shortcut to Success.
Let me clear the air before I get started. This post will not be like anything you have ever read. It’s not be about any hype or anything that has to do with getting rich quickly. If you are reading this article you probably know this already. You probably have tried a few things in your time as a Internet Marketer Guru person. You may even have a down line of 10 to 15,000 people. You may be a beginner, first time winner or a seasoned veteran that has seen and done it all. We are all the same.We all have goals and aspirations that we would like to accomplish via the internet while having an Online presence. At the beginning of this post I asked ” Is there True Prosperity for All!! And yes it is via the 4 keys of:
Time, Commitment,Consistency and Results.
Time, Commitment, Consistency and Results.
Time(Things I Must Experience). Before we get started I know some of you will say “I don’t have the time ” or “I am too busy”. If you are part of the Online community and have been fortunate enough join a great company like Wealthy Affiliate, Congrats! No matter what part of the world you are from we all have a few things in common. One of the things we have in common is TIME. We all get 24 hours per day and have 7 days per week. Wouldn’t you agree? That 24 hours per day can be spent any way you want! Let me share some examples of what I am talking about. If you take 24 hours per day and multiply that by 7 days per week you will have 168 hours per week or if you do minute by minute it breaks down to 1440 minutes per day or 10080 minutes per week. For the sake of time and sanity let’s look at how many of us will spend our time on a weekly basis (this is just an estimate, it may be less or more time spent for you on each item):
- 40 hour work week.
- 56 hours of sleep per week(8 hours a day x 7 days per week)
- 10 hours per week getting back and forth to work.
- 10 hours per week family time.
- 5 hours per week getting dressed or undressed for work.
- 10 hours per week TV time.
- 10 hours per week if going back to school.
- 10 hours per week miscellaneous time hanging with friends or working out at the gym or park.
- 5 hours per week Social Media time
If my math is correct that’s a total of 146 hours that can be accounted for in this example. Remember we have 168 hours per week. If you subtract 146 hours from 168 hours you still have 22 hours left. Even if you add another 10 hours to your work week and work 50 hours per week you would still have 12 hours of time unaccounted for. If you would really like to obtain “True Online Prosperity” is time really a deterrent in achieving that goal?
Commitment: the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause or activity.
Could this be the deal breaker in achieving true online prosperity? My own experience has shown that we must have commitment to achieve pretty much anything in life we want like marriage, family, work and school. No matter what we do we must have commitment. When I first started in the online community I was overwhelmed by a few great presentations. I thought all I had to do was get a website and send out some emails and I thought I would be set for life. Little did I know this was only the beginning? I didn’t know that I needed traffic, sales funnel, capture pages and so much more. I was motivated by the money. I thought I could make a lot of money in a short amount of time. After the euphoria of having a website and an email address wore off I soon realized one clear fact. I realized I had no real commitment to building a business. I realized that it was going to take a true commitment and a real plan to achieve any goal or purpose I have in life. What is your level of commitment to achieve your goal or cause?
With time and commitment you also need to be consistent with your efforts. Being consistent with your efforts allows you to gain some momentum in your process. Your process can be anything from starting a business to building a house. Consistency in the online community is no different. When you remain consistent some wonderful things can start to happen. You will begin feel like you could do this all day and never get tired or bored. Anytime we are consistent others notice as well. They admire your work ethic and how you get things done. Since I have been more consistent with my efforts I have grown more confident and feel better about what I am doing within the online community. If you have anything that you need to get done but don’t like doing, try to figure out a way to break the project down into smaller pieces. For example I don’t like mowing my yard. I used to try and mow the entire yard in one day. This project would take me an hour and a half every two weeks. Not a lot of time I know, but remember, I don’t like doing this. So instead of spending an hour and a half every two weeks I decided to spend, two back to days, 45 minutes each day. Doing my lawn like this allowed me to remain consistent and effective. With enough Time, Commitment and Consistency you and I will be able to achieve all types of prosperity.
What type of results are looking for when it comes to you personally, financially, spiritually or in life as a whole. Do you want enough results to say to everyone I tried or are you willing to make obtaining your results a lifelong passion. No matter what we do we are evaluating the type of results we are getting all the time. Since we are talking about True Online Prosperity what results do feel you feel would be the most beneficial? I would think the most beneficial result would be money. But what if you had more than enough money and you just wanted to help people succeed online ? Or what if you had some real health challenges and just wanted to connect with other people who are in similar situations? In my humble opinion no matter what we are doing we are all looking for results. Results, you see, will take Time, Commitment and Consistency. If you are not willing to put in the work you should not be disappointed with results. Results matter and so do you!!!
